This photo stood out to me, due to the fact that you can see the close-up of the rain physically bouncing off of the insect. This to me is a lot more interesting to look at than simply recognising the close-up of the dragonfly itself.
This image is mainly about the close-up of texture and the idea of the variety of textures in fruit and vegetables. This lettuce leaf is a good example of the type of texture I am talking about.
This image really stood out to me, due to the extreme close-up of the lizard eye. It makes me think how hard it must of been to capture it, and also the ways in which the photographer would have had to of acted in order to get a photograph this close.
This is a very basic representation of close up and I think that it works really well. It also creates a nice sense of contrast between all of the colours in the pencil and the image also allows us to see the detail on the actual pencil, which I think adds to the effect of the picture.
I like the depth of field on top of the close up in this image. I think that the short depth allow us to focus mainly on the pin in the image which I think is what the photographer aimed for. The bold colour of red also draws out attention to the subject in the foreground.
This is an example of texture in nature. how easily you can find textures on basic things such as leaves and create a really light and beautiful image. The close-up in this image, allowed us to see the differences on the leaves but also the similarities which is a really interesting and unique way of presenting nature.
This is one of my favourite close-up images that I found and I plan to do a shoot based around the idea. The main idea is basically the texture of the human form. The way that the lighting is positioned below the hand means that we can see all of the grooves in the skin, emphasising everything that we wouldn't normally see. I think that this technique is a really interesting way of presenting the human form.
This is similar to the image of the pencils. The contrast between the colours along with the depth of field that the photographer has created is really interesting and makes for a nice looking photograph.
I like the idea of capturing water droplets on leaves as the sense of nature is really coming forward. I also like the way that the foreground is not 100% in focus with more the middle of the image in focus than the rest.
I liked this idea due to the very dark background that has been sued to emphasis the pink on the lips and the white teeth. Everything together in this image, along with the close-up shot has had a lot of impact on ideas around fashion and make-up and the boundaries that can be broken.
Again, I like this very close-up shot showing the lips and in essences the lipgloss or lipstick that may or may not be being advertised. I think that the shot is very interesting in the way that the light is bouncing off of the bottom of the lip, enticing the audience.
This image stood out to me, due to the fact that it is an insect covered in frost. To be able to capture this type of detail on something so small really captured me and I thought that it was an incredibly meticulous way of showing close-up photography of insects.
This is a very powerful image of an eye. I think that the way the photographer had managed to emphasis the idea of the iris on a eye, is really interesting, making it almost look like some sort of machine.
This is an incredibly close-up shot of a bug's head, which I think is somewhat strange and somewhat interesting. I like how you can see the detail on the head will all of the little divots and the scaly skin that forms over the head.
I thought this image was interesting due to the bubbles that have formed over the cherry, making it almost look frosty. The way that the bubbles have formed around the cherry adds a sort of mystical and atypical element to the image.
When I first saw this image I didn't automatically think that it was a snake because i wasn't sure what the eye was. When I realised, I thought what an amazing image it was, in order for the photographer to have captured it.
Brad Wilson's image of the elephant is really interesting to look at. The texture on the elephants skin in particular is a great example of the close-up photography that I like to do myself. I also like the way that even though the eye doesn't take up much of the page, it still feel very close to us.
This is another very interesting close-up of an insect or bug that I think has worked out really well when looking at textures of small creatures. I also think that it gives the caterpillar a sort of personality, making it look fun.
I like the way that the photographer has managed to capture such a quick action at such a close up angle. It's a very interesting image to look at when you realise how fast this actually happens.
I like this rose and the way that the photographer has managed to highlight the fact that there are many beads of water on the petals. I think it looks especially intriguing and interesting when you can see and start to think of the rose bus and how it is blossoming.
I love the glare in the cats eye in this image. I think ti makes the cat look mesmerised by whatever is going on behind the actual camera. I also think that the black and white effect that the photographer has used for this image, adds to the overall effect that it has on hover is looking at it, due to the close-up nature of the photograph.
This idea of close-ups of animals is really interesting as the focus is usually on the eyes and I think that this image is a perfect example of that.
I like the way that the photographer has managed to get this shot, just at the right moment so that we can see the water splashing up in an almost fantastical way.
This beauty shot, highlights the close-ups that are so often used in the world of fashion photography and beauty. I like the clean look of the image as I think that it makes the idea of close-up photography a lot better and nicer to think about when it comes to taking pictures of your own stuff.
The idea of wild nature is something that really appeals to me in photography which is why I think that this image really stood out to me. I also like the very basic, blue, white and green colours.
Re-visiting the idea of bugs and insects, I liked this image because of the way that the insect is blending in with it's surroundings, camouflaging itself amongst the leaves.
I really like this extreme close-up of a dragonfly. I think that the through the way that it is showing the joins in it's skins and where it's wings are attached is really interesting and gives us a better idea of how they are actually formed.
I like the way that in this image, the water that the leaf is on, is almost completely weightless compared to the water that seems to be blending into one solid colour. The photographer has managed to make the water look unreal which I think looks really intriguing.
I like the way that you can really see the detail coming from the middle of this flower an how the background of the photo is out of focus so that all of the attention is on that area. I also like the contrast between the black in the middle and the yellow surrounding it.
I like how the photographer has managed to be able to show the detail in this kiwi to such a level that we can see all of the individual seeds really well. the light behind the kiwi has made this image a lot more professional looking.
